Position Opening: Festival and Artist Administrator (Part-time)
As we eagerly approach the dates for Vision Sound Music, we are excited to announce an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a part-time Festival & Artist Administrator. This position will be crucial between May and September, ensuring the smooth execution of our upcoming events.
About Vision Sound Music: Vision Sound Music is an established festival that has been weaving a tapestry of musical experiences for nearly a decade. As we gear up for our 10th-year milestone, our commitment to delivering exceptional musical performances and fostering a vibrant artistic community remains unwavering.
Role Overview: We are seeking an exceptionally organized administrator to collaborate closely with the Festival Management team. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around artist management and general administration. This pivotal role is embedded within a dedicated team, comprising both skilled staff and passionate volunteers.
Responsibilities:
- Artist Management: Coordinate with artists, ensuring smooth communication, and managing logistics such as schedules, accommodations, and performance requirements.
- Administration Support: Assist the Festival Management team with general administrative tasks, including documentation, correspondence, and database management.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, volunteers, and external stakeholders to guarantee the seamless execution of the festival.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in administration or event coordination.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for the arts and a keen interest in contributing to the success of Vision Sound Music.
Trustee Opportunities: In tandem with our festival growth, we are expanding our Board of Trustees and inviting up to 5 new individuals to join us. The Board plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Vision Sound Music. We are particularly interested in candidates with a financial or fundraising background who can bring valuable insights to our leadership team.
Trustee Roles:
- Unremunerated Positions: Trustee roles are voluntary and do not come with financial compensation.
- Expense Reimbursement: Reasonable expenses incurred for attending meetings and participating in festival activities will be reimbursed.
